After 22 wonderful years of entertaining Savannah’s visitors, Murder Afloat has come to an end. Jack and Sue North are retiring, and may continue special projects involving Murder Afloat, but weekly shows every summer are no longer. Please note that the River Street Riverboat Company will continue to offer a variety of cruises, including a new murder mystery cruise. Please check out their website at the link on this page.
Thanks to all the crew members, staff and management of the River Street Riverboat Company for providing a home for the weekly shows and making the last 14 years very successful for our company.
Thanks, of course, to all the actors and actresses through the years. Some were only in the show for a season or two, but most of the actors were with me for more than 10 years. It’s been a pleasure working with all of them.
Thanks to the audiences over the years for making Murder Afloat a success. The Girl Scouts of America who visited Savannah and made sure that the show was included in their itineraries were especially loyal.
I haven’t given much thought to what I should do with the website; whether to devote it to a discussion of riverboat mysteries, fiction content, or to turn it into a company where you could order real-life hits on your enemies. I’m not sure of the legalities of that, so if you have any other suggestions please contact us. We’ll still be getting our messages from here. Murder Afloat: an adventure filled, sightseeing cruise along the Savannah River aboard a beautiful old-style boat. Audiences could get swept up in the scandalous drama as the cruise quickly turned into a night of mystery and excitement. Founded in 1990, Murder Afloat thrilled tourists and locals in Savannah, visitors from nearby Charleston and Hilton Head, South Carolina, and mystery fans from all over the world.
